Rene’s Guesthouse was established in 2000 and offers 15 comfortable modern separate rooms with en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, mini fridges, microwaves, coffee stations, free wifi, DStv and secure parking. We offer breakfast, lunchboxes, dinner and have a fully stocked bar. Rene’s is situated in Douglas in the Northern Cape, a town made famous by the confluence of the Vaal and the Orange Rivers, situated about 100km from Kimberley on the way to the Augrabies falls near Upington.
The area offers a variety of outdoor activities such as romantic sunset cruises on the river, the Confluence wine cellars, fresh air wild life trips on a game farm, and a 9 hole golf course.
For the stay-in person, you can sunbathe next to the pool or laze away on the deck with a good book and a glass of wine. We are the ideal stop-over for travellers and businessmen alike. While you here, treat yourself to great food, vast open spaces and just old country hospitality. Like Steve Hofmeyer said “Great people and lots of fun”.
Open plains, romantic sunsets and the charm of the countryside are what one can expect an Rene’s Guesthouse in Douglas. Enjoy fresh farm breakfasts in the morning and red wine (from our own Douglas cellar) in the evenings next to the pool – the choice is yours. Your hosts Rene and AP will welcome you and see to your every need.
